DOG DEAL SET TO IMPROVE THE REGION'S TOURISM OFFERING

Sheffield’s Owlerton Stadium has today announced the launch of a new business partnership with two of the city’s largest, independently owned hotels.

The Rutland Hotel on Glossop Road and The Cutlers Hotel in the heart of Sheffield’s theatre land, have joined forces with the venue to provide an added value experience for customers and a way to encourage tourism in the region.

Craig Dowie, Director of The Rutland Hotel, said: “We’re always looking for new ways to improve our offer to customers. Owlerton Stadium, together with its adjacent sister venue Napoleons Casino Owlerton, offer one of the most attractive nights out in the region and we’re sure a closer working relationship with the company will be a very attractive proposition for our residents.”
The drive includes greater cross-marketing between the three venues; attractive discounts for both Owlerton Stadium’s corporate clients requiring overnight accommodation and hotels guests looking for a quality night out at the region’s renowned greyhound track.

Claire Windsor, Marketing Manager at Owlerton Stadium, said: “The package is a win-win situation for three local businesses that are working together to provide a better experience for staff and customers and helping develop tourism in the region.”

Owlerton Stadium has recently benefitted from the refurbishment of its Corporate Boxes, Sportsman Tavern and Paddock Bar, as well as £1m investment in a new track surface. Plans are also in place for a new restaurant extension, which is set to double its seating capacity.
Amandeep Sandhu, director at The Cutlers, said: “Sheffield is rapidly becoming one of the most vibrant and attractive cities in the UK and this initiative can only improve our position as a key tourist destination.”
